  • March 14, 2016: MDOT will hold its annual partnering workshop at Comerica Park. ERR is excited to be part of an excellent panel, discussing heavy duty incidents and their safe and quick remediation, including hazardous waste situations.

  • January 12, 2016, ERR is excited to announce new service hours for the FCP in MDOT's University Region. The new hours will be 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, which will close the two hour service gap during the lunch time commute.  Weekend coverage will continue 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  (Coverage in the Metro Region will remain twenty-four hours per day.)

  • December 2015, ERR was awarded - for the second consecutive term - the contract to continue FCP service in MDOT's University Region, covering Washtenaw and Brighton Freeways. We look forward to continuing our successful service for three more years!

  • August 2015, ERR is proud to annoucne that 100% of our FCP operators are Mi-Time certified. ERR is dedicated to road safety and continues to work -every single day - toward making Southeast Michigan freeways, safer, ensure incidents are cleared quicker, and freeway delays continue to decline.

  • May 17, 2015, ERR invites children and families to view a FCP vehicle at the Detroit River Conservancy Annual "Touch a Truck" event where kids will learn about the FCP vehicle and services.  Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide kids with safety apparel. http://detroitriverfront.org/2015touchatruck

  • May 1, 2015, ERR is pleased to announce a contract extension so that ERR may continue our proud tradition of service to MDOT for the FCP Program.




  • March 6, 2015 ERR partnered with MDOT and SEMTOC for the 2015 TIM workshop.  We were excited to present changes in Michigan legislation regarding limiting liability for first responders, which will lead to quicker clearance of our highways during major disruptions.  We thank all of the stakholders for their participation and attendance.  Newsletter

  • September 9, 2015, ERR assisted MDOT, ITS, and SEMTOC to organize and conduct a mock hazmat incident at Belle Isle as part of Emergency Responders Day at the 2014 ITS World Congress hosted on Belle Isle.  Video Demonstration

  • ERR is excited to announce that the 2014 ITS World Congress will be hosted in Detroit, MI on Belle Isle and at Cobo Center. 

  • March 7, 2013, ITS Workshop at SEMTOC: SEMTOC held the 8th Annual Partnering Workshop for Traffic Incident Management and featured Mark Hackel as the guest speaker.  Discussions centered on Freeway Operations, HAzmat clearance, training for emergency responders and MSP commnad structure changes, and Macomb County's operations consolidation.  ERR was proud to participate and help the workshop reach record attendance.  ERR Project Manager, Mike Lucas, cited that the workshop "really helps first responders work together better by increasing effective communication among all freeweay operations entities across city and county lines."

  • February 2, 2013, MDOT and ERR will kick off the FCP expansion project, expanding FCP services to the Livingston and Washtenaw County areas. Service will commences at 6AM, Friday morning. More information is avialable at, www.mdot.gov/courtesypatrol.com.

  • December 1, 2012 , MDOT and ERR are proud to announce that The Freeway Courtesy Patrol Project will expand to cover Brighton and Ann Arbor freeway areas.  The project will commence February 1, 2013.  New Service Map

  • October 24, 2012, Emergency Road Response is pleased to announce we took delivery of the first set of five new commercial FCP vehicles, continuing our committment to improvide and provide superior roadside services to Michigan motorists.  We are Always behind you.

  • September 27, 2012, Emergency Road Response employees enjoyed a company outing in Kings Island, Ohio, exploring the latest developments and training available within emergency roadside assistance indsutry has to offer.

  • July 1, 2012,  ERR initates new fleet plan, to purchase a new fleet of vans in an effort to update and modernize current fleet.  The new equipment is due for delivery by the Fall.

  • April 18, 2012, Emergency Road Rsponse sends its condolences  to the family of Mr. Dave Dawson. Mr. Dawson died after injuries sustained during an accident on I-96, April 11th, while assisting a stranded motorist. Mr. Dawson was a good friend and great employee! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will update the staff and public as more details come avialable. In remembrance of Mr. Dawson, we urge the motoring public to be safe and always give room to emergency vehicles.
